G-NetSpeed v2.00 bandwith test windows mobile

G-NetSpeed lets your test your UMTS/GSM network speed. It also shows the serving CELLID of the network. You can choose between several URL or input your own URL. It’s better to put the URL of files >5MB. It allows greater speed to be achieved.

Features:
1. Measurement of download speed from different URL addresses. You can measure the speed to any URL.
2. Information about the UMTS/GSM serving cell (MCC, MNC, LAC, CELLID)

How to use:
1. Select URL from predefined list or input your own URL
2. Press button
3. The application measures download speed and shows:
- Maximum Speed – the maximum speed achieved during the download session
- Average Speed – the average speed for the download session
- Downloaded Volume – the volume downloaded during the session

Windows Mobile HTC eReader cab

The eReader Manila tab is a memory hog, and offers little real function anyway — plus it is Manila version dependent. Attached is a standalone cab for the HTC eReader application, which doesn’t require the eReader Manila tab — or Manila at all for that matter.

WM Marketplace for WM6.0/6.1 CAB

Here is a cab for 6.0/6.1 users for WM Marketplace or WM6.5 if its not installed in rom. I made it from 23053 skymarket oem pkg. Its for WWE only and only for devices that have a bootlauncher (IE no apache.) Let me know if it doesn’t work on stock roms as its not signed as I’m not sure if signature is required but it will run on cooked roms with full kernel trust enabled.

Edit from reports it seems to run on stock roms too

Some reports that it errors if IE isn’t default browser also.

Here is the cab that is downloaded when you first connect to the marketplace. Hopefully all the chefs can integrate it in.

For those that have a ROM that did NOT come with the marketplace (stock roms for the most part) you will need to create a shortcut to \windows\WMMarketplaceFullClient.exe.

This GPS-PDA utility has several features. It transforms your PocketPC into an external bluetooth GPS receiver, allowing you to use it with your laptop PC or any other device which can use a bluetooth GPS. Since version 1.4, GPS2Blue also allows to redirect GPS data to a TCP/IP port. It can also log to a file the data received from the GPS. Another feature is the PDA clock adjustment based on the precise GPS satellites clock. Finally, for Tomtom 5 (or 6) users, you can create a new POI from coordinates.

Firstly, GPS2Blue doesn’t need an Outgoing port on the Kaiser, but an Incoming one. Then, you discover services on the phone, from the PC, and you’ll have a serial port you should connect to. Not the other way around like you were saying. Now, WM6/6.1 don’t let the user set an incoming port from the BT configuration page anymore, so a manual registry edit is necessary. Attached is a .reg file that will set an incoming port on COM6.
Apply this, soft reset. Then run GPS2Blue, set it to use COM6, discover services from the PC, connect to the serial port, and connect to whatever serial port the stack maps it on the PC with your GPS program.

Secondly (but now unrelated!), if from the phone you’d like to see a serial port on the PC, there are 2 solutions. Firstly look for an “add new seral port” option in your BT stack on the PC, some support multiple ones.
If there’s none, you should open activesync connection page, disable serial connection. On the Phone the Arcivesync entry will now revert to serial port. To have AS again, reenable the COM port connection in AS.

This CAB was ripped from the Samsung Omnia II. At the moment it seems to only work over a WiFi connection (3G/Data Connection Fix, read below). The menu button doesn’t work either. However, you’re still able to retrieve song info by humming, singing or playing the actual song, which are the main functions of the app.

B2C – Birthday2Calendar 0.2

Description: This is a very simple application. It annoys me to all hell that if you have birthdays assigned to your contacts, Windows Mobile will not automatically add them to the calendar. Every phone I’ve had previous to my WM phone does this. Yeah, you can sync to Outlook, but I refuse to set Outlook up for something that should be done natively.

What’s even more frustrating is that the WM5 SDK has a simple code sample (which is where I started this from) to accomplish this task yet it’s still not included.
